Of course any automated social bookmarking tool is nothing without social bookmarking sites to bookmark to. Bookmarking Demon 5 comes with support for 29 main bookmarking sites and 100 sites overall. This includes some big ones like Digg, Mixx, Delicious, Blinklist and Propeller. BMD has always included Scuttle, Scuttle Plus and Pligg sites, but BMD5 also adds support for PHPDug sites as well.

When I first purchased Bookmarking Demon, I was a little skeptical about how it would work. So when I first wrote about Bookmarking Demon First Impressions, I promised a one week and a one month review of BMD. I missed the one week review as I was still learning the software and getting used to using it.

You can import the lists of URL's that you want to submit or you can automatically let the program crawl your site and create a huge list of URL's and anchor text automatically.

Next up would be to enter the url's of the pages you want to bookmark. The "title" is where you would put your desired anchor link or links. BD has a random feature which is very nice and allows you to put in as many anchor link titles as you want and it will randomly choose each time. You will want to enter as many keywords as you can think of because you will be getting an anchored link for each keyword. Note of caution: with all the "real" bookmarking sites you will want to include links from other web pages and not just the links to all your sites. This is because you want to disguise the fact that you are really only doing this to promote your own site(s) and they actually have people who check these things. You want to make it look like you are really bookmarking many different sites of interest and not only pages from your sites.

When you start a new site and have no incoming links at all, it is especially nice to have Bookmarking Demon because you can at least get the ball rolling. By having some links coming to your new website from the major bookmaking sites, this will at least give Google and Yahoo something to follow and they might find your site that way. I have also been bookmarking all my Squidoo lens and every other type of Internet page I have. This is something that most people would never think about but there is no reason why you cannot start working on your keyword authority for your Squidoo pages and BD is perfect for this.

However, before you get too excited, you need to know the truth. The truth is that one piece of software is not going to make you a million bucks. You see there is alot more to ranking websites in Google than just submitting a bunch of links to popular social book marking websites. Will it help? Without a doubt BookMarking demon will allow you to generate lots of back links and probably a few visitors from your posts. However, it is simply one arrow in your quiver.
