Born 1947 in Muskegon and raised in a trailer-park in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Iggy Pop began his musical career as a drummer in High-School. He's often referred to nicknames like "The godfather of punk" and "The Iguana". But as mentioned before he was also an actor and appeared in many movies. His film credits include famous movies like "The color of money" and "The Crow - City of Angels". Although he never relay achieved big commercial success, his impact on rock and punk music is widely acknowledged. He was the Inventor of Stage-Diving and Crowd-Walk. He's referenced by world famous bands like R.E.M and The Red Hot Chili Peppers in their songs and Kurt Cobain declared himself many times a big fan of Iggy Pop and the Stooges.
