Kids are pretty cool most of the time, however it can become trying for parents at times when school and math homework don't get done because they are dull and boring. It can become even harder when they start to fall behind and you are always playing catch up. What parent fancies 16 years of that.. If this sounds like you and your frustration is creeping in, then its best to look for a new technique.

Most children adore playing games and its pretty much all they ever want to spend time doing. As parent's however, you are highly aware of how important learning and a decent education can be. Maths is especially important since we use it at work, shopping, watching the tv and lots of other daily interactions, so it is crucial that children understand and can apply maths.

So what can you do? Well how about combining a game with maths and introducing a maths game? There are several ways of doing this by teaching them fun maths board games, card games and maths game sheets.

Maths Game

A technique that has been used many times (I used to like the cards best, especially with hard currency involved ;-) The child is not aware they are learning or doing boring maths as it seems like a good game and they want to win this game. Whilst playing a maths game they will be learning to add up and count, to reinforce their basic skills, to multiply, takeaway and divide as well as the key skills of thinking outside of the box to solve a problem.

So why would you want to continue to struggle? Give the maths game package a look, it could help your children become top of the class as well as allowing you to spend quality time with them, the best of both worlds (you may even learn another trick or 2 yourself!).
